Do you suffer from a fungal nail or fungal nail? Then our laser is the solution! A yellow or white discoloration, thickening and a brittle nail bed can be experienced as very disturbing and sometimes even painful.

The new revolutionary laser The Quanta System Duetto MT EVO ensures that the fungus is killed in no time. How does laser work exactly? The laser is a light source that operates at a specific wavelength (De Nd:YAG 1064 nm) that is absorbed by hemoglobin in the skin, heating the nail plate and killing the fungus. The affected part of the nail grows out and gives way to a healthy nail. Because the nails have to grow, the result will be visible after 3 to 6 months.

How many treatments are needed? The laser treatment must be repeated on average 4 times with a treatment frequency of 2 to 3 weeks.

The laser can be used for the following indications:

• Fungal Nails (Fungal Nails)

You cannot undergo the treatment if you have the following indications and/or characteristics:

• Pregnancy and breastfeeding
• Epilepsy
• Acute active infections (herpes simplex/cold sore) in the treated area
• Medication (antibiotics, prednisone, penicillin, isotretinoin/roacuttane/vitamin a cream and St. John's wort)
• Fever
• Presence of a pacemaker
• Eczema and psoriasis in the treated area
• Scleroderma
• Tendency to keloid scarring
• Raised lesions in the treated area (birthmarks)
• Tattoos in the treatment area
• Sunburned skin
• Recent treatment with chemical peel/dermapen in the treated area
• Skin cancer, radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy in the past 5 years.

Always wait two weeks to schedule a treatment after stopping certain medications. If you have any doubts about whether a certain medication can affect the treatment, always contact us. 

You can undergo the treatment if you use medication for the fungal nails.

Aftercare

It is very important to dry your feet thoroughly after a shower or bath, including between the toes. Keep your feet dry. Wear clean, cotton or woolen socks and well-ventilated, not too tight shoes every day.

Wear flip-flops in areas where many people go barefoot, such as showers and swimming pools.

You can update a deformed nail or a nail that gives complaints with a pumice stone or file. Please also file your nail before each laser treatment.

In addition to the antifungal pills prescribed by the doctor, you can also undergo laser treatments to optimize the result.
